By default, Free shipping option is enable for WooCommerce site. If you want to set the particular shipping cost then you have to modify the Shipping option from the WooCommerce setting. Multiple shipping methods can be added for WooCommerce products. The way of setting shipping method on WooCommerce website has been shown in this tutorial.
If any product is added in the cart then FREE shipping will be applied for the product by default and it has been shown in the following image.
Open the setting of the Shipping tab of the WooCommerce by clicking on the Settings option from the WooCommerce menu. The following page will appear. It has three parts. These are Shipping zones, Shipping settings, Classes, and Local pickup. Two types of shipping zones are showing here. One is Bangladesh and another is Rest of the world because this site was installed based on Bangladesh. Click on the Edit link from the Bangladesh zone.
Here, it is shown that Free shipping is enable by default. Enable the Flat rate and click on the Edit link.
You can change the name of the Flat rate, set the tax status, and cost amount here. Here, 45 has been set as the cost amount.
Now, if you add any product in the cart by disabling the Free shipping option then the Flat rate will be added with the product cost.
Click on the Add shipping method button and select the Free Shipping option to set the conditional free shipping. Click on the Continue button.
You can set different types of Conditional free shipping method. Here, 300 taka has been set as a minimum order amount. That’s mean if a customer add a product in the cart that is at least 300 taka then Free shipping option will be enabled. Click on the Create and save button.
Now, add a product in the cart that is less than 300 taka and click on the View cart link. Here, a product of 290 taka has been selected. So, the Free shipping option is not enabled for the product.
Next, add a product in the cart that is equal or more than 300 taka and click on the View cart link. Here, a product of 380 taka has been selected. So, the Free shipping option is enabled for the product.
Now, Click on the Classes link from the Shipping tab to add shipping class for the product of different weights. Click on the Add shipping class button.
Two shipping class has been added here. One is heavy and another is light.
Set the Shipping class cost for each Shipping class and click on the Save button.
Now, edit any existing product and add the applicable shipping class for the product and click on the Update button.
Now, if you add the product that has shipping class and the cost of the product is more than 300 taka then both Shipping class cost and Free shipping options will be appeared like the following image. If you want to hide the free shipping option for this type of product then you have to change the condition of the free shipping.
Here, The condition of the free shipping has been changed to ‘A minimum order amount AND coupon‘. The customer will require to provide a coupon code to apply the free shipping for this setting.
Now, if you add the same product in the cart again then you will not see the Free shipping option in the cart.
